  • Pride Club (was Bello Be Young and Proud) is a youth support group co-ordinated by Bellingen & Nambucca Youth Services (BNYS) for same-sex attracted and gender diverse young people aged 12-21.

The group aims to create inclusive friendship connections, a sense of belonging, and a safe space for young people.

BNYS recognises that a range of factors increase mental health risks for LGBT+ young people. These include shame and self-hatred, depression and anxiety, minority stress, accumulation of traumatic micro aggressions from homophobic and transphobic behaviours, as well as social isolation and family conflict

  • Dorrigo Youth Centre operates an after-school Drop-In Program on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:00-5:00pm.

The Drop-In Program is a fun safe space where young people can hang out, play games, create art, access Wi-Fi and printing, watch movies, share meals, and engage with supportive adult mentors.

Supported by Bellingen & Nambucca Youth Services and a dedicated group of local volunteers, the group has lots of room to grow and develop.
