Connecting offers services free of discrimination or bias to all persons & groups within the Bellingen Shire with an aim to being inclusive, respectful, community-driven & professional. We celebrate diversity & work towards a fair & just society for all.

 

The Work We Do.

We focus on working cooperatively with others to help strengthen connections, wellbeing and resilience, and we offer our services free of discrimination to everyone within the community.

 
 
  • Aligns with social justice principles of equality, access, participation, and human rights.

    - Assists people to access help and support to enable them to have their needs met.

    - Prioritises and advocates for the marginalised and disadvantaged members of our community.

    - Performs a community development role through partnerships with other agencies and groups to provide opportunities for people to connect and participate in their community.

  • Connecting Neighbourhood Centres receives core funding from the NSW Government through the Department of Communities and Justice under the Targeted Earlier Intervention Program.

    The Centres also receive other one-off grants from various sources, and conducts various fundraising activities to help supplement the core funding.
